Design & Construction

We supervise the progress of new construction and rehabilitation projects across all programs. From regular site visits to providing solutions and technical advices to our partners, we work to ensure federal regulations are followed and all construction agreements are met to provide quality housing for Rhode Islanders.

Compliance

RIHousing staff monitors properties financed with housing tax credits, HOME funds and other funding sources. The Compliance team ensures the long-term preservation of affordable housing and that federal law and RIHousing requirements are followed.

Statement of Fair Housing Policy

To assure consistency across all programs and initiatives, the Office of Housing and Community Development and RIHousing developed the Statement of Fair Housing Policy. This policy must be followed when financial assistance is provided by the State of Rhode Island or RIHousing, as well as for homes to be considered affordable under the terms of the Rhode Island Low and Moderate Income Housing Act RIGL 45-53.
