RIHousing administers the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program for Rhode Island.

The Purchase Price Calculator is now maintained by the Executive Office of Housing and can be accessed on their website.
RIHousing staff monitors properties financed with housing tax credits, HOME funds and other funding sources. The Compliance team ensures the long-term preservation of affordable housing and that federal law and RIHousing requirements are followed.

To assure consistency across all programs and initiatives, the Office of Housing and Community Development and RIHousing developed the Statement of Fair Housing Policy. This policy must be followed when financial assistance is provided by the State of Rhode Island or RIHousing, as well as for homes to be considered affordable under the terms of the Rhode Island Low and Moderate Income Housing Act RIGL 45-53.
